Ending Hunger on Campus in Maine
Proudly supporting our University of Maine System communities.
Our 2018 campaign will kick-off in late November, more information to come soon.
Thank you for supporting and contributing to our campaign during December 2017. We are thrilled to announce we've raised $8,143 along with food donations to help support these pantries.
During the month of December, UCU shined a light on the food pantries that help those within our campus communities. Across the state, there are five UMS-based food pantries that we supported with donations and asked that you, our members, helped contribute to our neighbors in need on campus. These campus food pantries help students, employees and others in the campus community, and while the total need is unknown, there are many who are already receiving assistance from these locations.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 additional towards this cause along with non-perishable food items. UCU kicked off our season of giving in late November with a $2,500 donation; $500 to each of these five food pantries. We ended the campaign with a total of $8,143 raised!
