Ending Hunger on Campus in Maine

Proudly supporting our University of Maine System communities.

Ending Hunger on Campus in MaineThank you for supporting and contributing to our campaign during December. We are thrilled to announce we've raised $8,143 along with food donations to help support these pantries.

During the month of December, UCU is shining a light on the food pantries that help those within our campus communities. Across the state, there are five UMS-based food pantries that we are supporting with donations and ask that you, our members, help contribute to our neighbors in need on campus. These campus food pantries help students, employees and others in the campus community, and while the total need is unknown, there are many who are already receiving assistance from these locations. With your donations, we hope to help many more. Please help us match our contributions by either food or monetary donation.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 additional towards this cause along with non-perishable food items. UCU kicked off our season of giving in late November with a $2,500 donation; $500 to each of these five food pantries.

How can you donate?

Throughout the month of December, drop off non-perishable food items at any UCU location, or monetary donations can be made in person at UCU, by mail or by members over the phone at 800-696-8628.
