UCU joins the Portland Buy Local campaign

UCU has recently joined a list of over 200 businesses in the greater Portland area in the campaign to buy local.  University Credit Union is the first and only financial institution to join the campaign.  The Portland Buy Local campaign began in 2006 with a focus on locally owned businesses and the beneficial impact they have on our economy.  By working with local governments and the media, the campaign hopes to increase local buying as well as give a stronger voice to the business owners in the community.  To join UCU in their support of local businesses go to www.portlandbuylocal.org.
