UCU Becomes Major Sponsor for Opportunity Maine

UCU's mission to promote the value of education in Maine has lead them to be one of the major sponsors for Opportunity Maine. Opportunity Maine is a program created to help local students who choose to live and work in Maine after college. Help would be given to these students through an income tax credit equal to their student loan payments. This first-in-the-nation program will not only strengthen Maine's economy by keeping college graduates in the Maine workforce, but will also provide many graduates with much needed financial assistance.
