UCU's Portland branches recently presented a check for $1200.00 to Longfellow Elementary School, their 2008-2009 Adopted School. The funds were raised through various fundraisers at both the Forest and Brighton Ave. branches. The school plans to purchase a new laptop with the funds. In addition to fundraising, several Portland employees participate in Longfellow's mentoring program and volunteer in the 2nd grade math class. Click here to read thank-you notes from the students.
