UCU Directors Stay Current on Changes Impacting the Credit Union Industry

Date: April 1st, 2009 - Author: University Credit Union

Given the state of the current economy and the myriad of regulatory changes impacting the nation's credit union industry, University Credit Union's Board of Directors are doing their homework. Four of UCU's Board of Directors recently attended the 2009 Volunteers' Conference sponsored by the Maine Credit Union League held at the Samoset Resort in Rockport, Maine. The conference focused on building a strong culture to enable the credit union to thrive in the current economy, developing volunteer capacity and a round table discussion on current issues facing the credit union industry.

UCU is fortunate to have a Board of Directors committed to maintaining the safety and soundness of the credit union. The all-volunteer, seven-member Board has a collective 74 years of service in providing leadership to UCU. They are updated and informed on current economic conditions on a regular basis and work with Senior Management to develop new and innovative product offerings that will enrich the financial lives of UCU members.
