The local armored carriers company issued an alert today about criminals impersonating armored carriers.� These criminals have successfully fooled employees of financial institutions further south into giving them money.� Coming into the branches fully dressed in an armored carrier uniform, the thieves have easily convinced financial institutions that they are covering for someone who is out sick.� The thieves are able to take the funds and leave before anyone is alerted.

UCU has procedures in place to verify all armored carriers' identies before transactions occur.�
